Valhalla feels modern and practical whilst maintaining its traditional character
Hynes mansion in Ascot Brisbane “Valhalla” built in 1908 is a prime example of a majestic Queenslander. The last renovations were done in the 90’s and were becoming a bit dated so it was time to remake Valhalla the opulent home she was built to be.
A series of projects began and first up was the upstairs kitchen, bar, mud room and butler’s pantry. All joinery was finished in gloss 2 pack polyurethane and kitchen benchtops made from Calacutta honed marble with 80mm mitred edges. Special features include curved panelling to range hood cabinet and wallpaper inserts in pantry shelving.
To finish the house a downstairs bar was installed along with renovated bathroom. These areas feature 80mm mitred Pietra Grey marble and handmade subway tiles.
